Solar Work We Do
We stick to five jobs: solar panel installation, roof-mounted solar, battery storage, solar repair and panel cleaning. A new system gets sized from your actual power bills and the roof you have, not a sales target. A system that's underperforming gets tested before anyone talks about new parts. If you just want your panels producing like they did the first year, panel cleaning is often the place to start.

Solar Panel Installation
Panels sized from your real electric bills, with a line-item estimate and the permit and utility approval handled before your system turns on.

Battery Storage
Home batteries that keep the fridge, lights and Wi-Fi running in an outage, sized to the circuits you actually use.

Solar Repair
Inverter faults, low output, storm damage and wiring problems traced to the real cause and fixed, with a plain answer on repair versus replacement.

Panel Cleaning
Pure-water cleaning that clears dust, pollen and bird droppings off your panels, with a look for loose wiring or cracks while we're up there.

Roof-Mounted Solar
Panels mounted to your roof with flashed, sealed attachments, a layout planned around your shading and rafters, and a clear answer on whether your roof is ready.

A Small Solar Company That Keeps It Simple
We're a Hurst solar company that does the work ourselves. The people who visit your home are the people who plan the system, and they'll still pick up the phone after the install is done.
Our approach is plain. We tell you what's causing a problem, what it will cost to fix and what your options are, in that order. If a cheaper repair will do the job, that's what we recommend. If your system needs a part replaced, we show you why.
North Texas sun is good for solar, but summer heat, hail and dust are hard on equipment. We build and maintain systems with that in mind, from how mounts are sealed to how wiring is secured under the panels.

What Moves the Price of Solar
No two solar jobs cost the same, and anyone who quotes a number before looking at your roof and bills is guessing. These are the things that actually change the price. Once we know them, we can give you a real number.
Get your quote by phone once we've talked through your bills and roof, then we confirm it in writing after the site visit. The written estimate lists every line, and the price doesn't change unless you change the job.
- System size
- The more of your bill you want to cover, the more panels you need. We size from twelve months of usage, since summer air conditioning here can double what you use in spring.
- Roof layout and condition
- A simple south- or west-facing roof is the easiest install. Multiple small roof planes, steep pitches or tile take more labor and more racking. If the shingles are near the end of their life, we'll tell you before panels go on, because pulling a system later costs money.
- Equipment choice
- Microinverters cost more up front than a single string inverter but handle partial shade better and let us see each panel's output. Higher-efficiency panels cost more per panel but fit more power on a small roof.
- Your electrical panel
- Older or full electrical panels sometimes need an upgrade to accept solar safely. We check the panel on the site visit so it doesn't show up as a surprise later.
- Battery storage
- Adding a battery raises the cost. How much depends on whether you want to back up a few circuits or most of the house during an outage.
- Permits and utility steps
- Permit fees and inspection requirements vary by city. We list them on the estimate so they're part of the price, not an add-on.
How a Solar Job Runs
Most installs follow the same five steps. Repairs and cleanings are shorter, but we still explain what we found before we fix anything.
- 1
A phone call about your bills
Tell us what you pay for power, how old your roof is and what you're hoping solar will do. We'll tell you plainly if it's worth a visit.
- 2
Site visit
We measure the roof, check for shade from trees and nearby buildings, look at the electrical panel and take photos. It usually takes about an hour.
- 3
Design and written estimate
You get a panel layout, the expected yearly production and a line-item price. Take your time with it. There's no deadline from us.
- 4
Permit and install day
After the city approves the permit, most home installs take one to three days on the roof. We tarp the work area, keep the driveway clear and clean up each evening.
- 5
Final checks and power-up
Once the city signs off, the utility gives the go-ahead to connect. Then we switch the system on and show you the monitoring app, so you can watch it produce from the first day.

Why Homeowners Call Us
Solar has a lot of sales talk around it. We'd rather give you the short version, show you the numbers and let you decide.
- We say when solar won't pay off
- Heavy shade, a small electric bill or a roof facing the wrong way can make solar a weak deal. When that's the case, we tell you on the first call or the first visit. Sometimes the right move is a smaller system, and sometimes it's no system.
- Estimates broken out line by line
- Panels, inverters, racking, electrical work and permit fees each get their own line. You can see where the money goes and compare us fairly against anyone else.
- Photos of what we find
- On repair and inspection visits we photograph the inverter, the wiring, the connectors and the mounts. You see the same thing we saw, so you're not taking our word for it.
- Your roof treated with care
- Every mount is flashed and sealed so water has nowhere to go. We keep foot traffic to a minimum, protect the yard below and pick up wire scraps and packaging before we leave.
- We handle the paperwork
- We file the permit with your city, show up when the inspector comes out and send the utility its connection forms. You'll hear from us as each piece clears, so you don't have to chase anyone.
Common Solar Questions
Will solar work on my roof?
Usually, yes. South- and west-facing roof sections with little shade work best. East-facing roofs still produce, just less. We confirm it on the site visit by measuring the roof and checking shade throughout the day.
How much will solar save me?
It depends on your usage, your system size and the buyback plan from your electric provider. We estimate yearly production from your roof and compare it to your last twelve months of bills. We show you that math in writing instead of quoting a big savings number.
What happens if hail hits my panels?
Panels use tempered glass built to take hail, and most storms leave them fine. Large hail can crack them. Many homeowner policies cover panels attached to the house, but check yours. We can inspect the system and photograph any damage for your adjuster.
Do I need a battery?
No. Solar works without one. A battery makes sense if you want backup power during outages or if your electric plan pays little for the power you send back. We'll tell you which camp you're in.
What warranty comes with your work?
Our solar work carries a 10-year workmanship warranty. The panels and inverters have separate coverage from their makers, and those terms differ from brand to brand. You'll get the details in writing along with your estimate.
Can you fix a system another company installed?
Yes. We test the system, find the cause and photograph what we find. Common culprits are a failed inverter, loose connectors or a tripped breaker. You get a straight answer on whether to repair or replace.
Do panels need cleaning?
Rain handles some of it, but dust, pollen and bird droppings build up through dry stretches and cut output. If your production has dropped and nothing is broken, a cleaning is worth checking first.
